hosted by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC)"Net-Zero Carbon Emissions - Development and Application of Emerging Biological Negative Emission Technologies | Cross-disciplinary Exchange Meeting"was held on January 12-13, 2026.
Professor Chih-Hao Fan represented our laboratory to attend and presented the latest research results at the meeting.

The theme of this presentation was"Development of carbon/nitrogen fixation technologies in ammonium-concentrated industrial wastewater treatment processes using PNSB and Comammox and its low-carbon valorization applications ."。
This research addresses the challenge of high-concentration ammonium in industrial wastewater by proposing an innovative biotechnological approach that integrates Purple Non-Sulfur Bacteria (PNSB) and Complete Ammonia Oxidizers (Comammox). The study aims to achieve synergistic carbon and nitrogen fixation while enhancing the low-carbon value-added potential of wastewater treatment, directly aligning with national net-zero carbon technological development goals.淨零碳排之科技研發目標。
